When you’re flying to Manali then the nearest airport is Bhuntar Airport (also known as Kullu Airport), which is located about 50 km from Manali. It takes about 60 to 90 minutes from the Airport to reach Manali. The Bhuntar Airport is located on the banks of the Beas River, in the small town of Bhuntar in Himachal Pradesh state.
The next nearest airport is at Chandigarh, about 300 kilometers from Manali. We will guide you further on this once you have booked Himachal Packages from Delhi airport, where you will have your pickup.
How to reach Manali by train?
Manali has no Railway Station in Himachal. The nearest station is the railway station Joginder Nagar (JDNX) located at a distance of about 165 km from Manali. This journey is not recommended as the station is linked to Pathankot with only one passenger train, and not to any other area.
Instead, travel to Anandpur Railway Station, 240 km from Manali and conveniently connected to Delhi, Chandigarh and other major Indian cities.
How to reach Manali by local bus?
Travelling by bus to Manali is also a scenic trip. There are several state-run buses as well as private tourist vehicles operating services between Delhi to Manali. The distance is 540 km and takes 12 hours to reach. Frequent buses to Kullu Manali are also available from Chandigarh and Pathankot.
